My name. How is it pronounced? Is that your real name?
- Kuhl, actually spelled Kühl, is pronounced Kool. It is German and means cool (as in the opposite of warm). It is my real name. Perfect radio name? Well, maybe. Unfortunately, it is a little too unbelievable, so I used Ken Curtis on the air at most stations, but did use Ken Kuhl when I worked at a CHR station.

Retainer - What is and what are the advantages of having my services on retainer?
- Having me on retainer means that for a set monthly fee, I will produce a given amount of projects for you. The advantages of having me on retainer are two-fold. First, it saves you money, my retainer rate is much lower than my fee for one-time services. Second, and most important to your station, company or product, is consistency. There is a proven and distinct advantage to having a consistent sound for your product, be it a radio station, corporation, or product.
